Bear, Quincy, Cheeto and I have boarded the Alexis. The airlock is secure. The interior is dimly lit with auxiliary power, but appears undamaged. The crew appears worried. I am also showing worry, a normal emotion.
ALEXIS STATUS:
- Life support active but minimal
- No signs of life detected
- No response to hails or attempts at communication
We are proceeding with a systematic sweep of the ship. Standard mining equipment remains, as if recently in use. The cargo bay contains an interesting metal relic: A black metal statue, 1.56 meters tall, depicting humanoid figures with faces as if in agony. Six dead individuals are kneeling around the statue.
MEDICAL ANALYSIS:
- All six individuals are deceased
- Cause of death appears to be bite wounds, human sized
We will continue to investigate the Alexis and attempt to determine the cause of the crew’s demise. I am concerned but maintaining a professional demeanor, which is important for a human captain in this situation.
